Empowering new beginnings at David Pieris Group
David Pieris Group recently concluded yet another successful Group Induction Programme, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing talent and integrating new recruits into its dynamic and diverse corporate environment.
The programme was thoughtfully designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Group’s legacy, values and wide-ranging business operations. Through engaging sessions, the new team members were introduced to the organizational structure, key business sectors and the strategic vision that continues to drive the Group forward.
A key highlight of the induction was the series of site visits organised to offer firsthand exposure to operations. The recruits visited FCI, FCII, Pearl Bay and the Ranna Manufacturing Complex, where they experienced the Group’s operational excellence in action.
Beyond knowledge-sharing, the programme also served as a platform for building connections, fostering teamwork and instilling a strong sense of belonging among the new recruits. By engaging directly with different business units and environments, participants were better equipped to understand their roles within the broader organisational framework.
ISO 9001:2015 Training for Operational Excellence
The ISO 9001:2015 Standard training program was conducted with the participation of 12 employees representing the Automotive and Assetline clusters. The session focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of quality management principles, process standardization, and continuous improvement practices aligned with international standards. This initiative aims to strengthen operational efficiency and ensure consistent delivery of quality across all business functions.
Advanced Excel for Data-Driven Performance
An Advanced Excel training programme was conducted for 21 employees from the Automotive and Logistics clusters. The session focused on enhancing data analysis, reporting efficiency, and advanced functionality skills to support better decision-making and operational productivity. This initiative strengthens the team’s ability to work smarter with data and drive performance across the David Pieris Group.
Upselling for Business Growth & Customer Value
A targeted training programme on Upselling was conducted for 34 employees representing Automotive, Assetline, Logistics, and DPLP clusters. The session focused on enhancing employees’ ability to identify customer needs, add value through relevant product and service recommendations, and drive revenue growth. This programme supports the David Pieris Group’s commitment to delivering superior customer experiences while maximizing business opportunities.
Emotional Intelligence for Effective Leadership & Teamwork
A focused training programme conducted for 35 employees across Automotive, Logistics, Assetline, and DPLP clusters, facilitated by Mrs. Rashini Bandara. This session aimed to strengthen emotional intelligence by enhancing self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management skills—key competencies that drive effective teamwork, collaboration, and leadership within the David Pieris Group.
Rise & Shine – Celebrating the strength of women at David Pieris Group
The David Pieris Group recently organised a special programme titled “Rise & Shine” to celebrate the women of the organisation, bringing together participants from across the Group for a refreshing and inspiring day.
Organised by the Engagement Pillar of the Group Human Resource Management Division, the event created a meaningful space for appreciation, empowerment and connection. The programme featured an uplifting opening session, a mindful relaxation experience and a series of energising activities designed to engage, inspire and celebrate the remarkable women who contribute to the strength and success of the Group.
The event encouraged participants to unwind, connect with colleagues and reflect on their personal growth, while recognising the dedication, resilience and impact of women across the organisation.
